Compare at Checkout is a simple Shopify Checkout UI extension that displays "compare at" prices on the checkout page. The App is designed to operate without collecting, storing, or processing personal data from merchants or customers beyond what is strictly necessary to function within Shopify's platform.

a. Merchant Data

The App does not independently collect, store, or process any personal or sensitive merchant information. Any store-related information (such as product pricing data) is accessed temporarily via Shopify's APIs solely to render compare-at prices during checkout.

b. Customer Data

The App does not collect, store, or process customer personal data, including but not limited to:

• Names
• Email addresses
• Payment information
• IP addresses
• Shipping or billing details

All customer data remains fully within Shopify's checkout environment.

3. How Information Is Used

Any data accessed by the App is used only for the following purpose:

Displaying compare-at prices alongside current prices on the Shopify checkout page.

No data is used for analytics, marketing, profiling, or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Retention

• Compare at Checkout does not store data on external servers or databases.
• No merchant data is persisted.
• No customer data is persisted.
• All data access is ephemeral and handled entirely within Shopify's infrastructure.

The App relies solely on Shopify-provided APIs and infrastructure, and all data handling is governed by Shopify's own privacy and security standards.

Because the App does not store or transmit personal data outside of Shopify, there is no independent data storage to secure. The App follows Shopify's extension and API requirements to ensure safe and secure operation within the checkout environment.

7. Merchant Choices and Control

Merchants maintain full control over the App:

• The App can be installed or uninstalled at any time via the Shopify Admin.
• Uninstalling the App immediately stops all access to Shopify APIs.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children and does not knowingly collect any information from individuals under the age of 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on the Shopify App Store listing or associated documentation.
